Dr. Saswati Paramita received her Ph.D. in Electronics and Communication Engineering from IIIT Delhi and her M.Tech. in Communication Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur. Her research focuses on hybrid Li-Fi/Wi-Fi networks, wireless optical communication, mobility management, channel modeling, and resource optimization for beyond-5G and 6G wireless systems. Her work aims to develop efficient, reliable, and high-capacity communication solutions by seamlessly integrating Li-Fi and Wi-Fi technologies while addressing challenges such as user mobility, handover, channel impairments, and network optimization.
Her broader research interests include wireless networks, optical wireless communications, and the physical and data link layers of Visible Light Communications (VLC). She has published her work in IEEE Transactions and leading international conferences.
She has also contributed to a funded project by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), developing a Li-Fi prototype for indoor communication and demonstrating its coexistence with Wi-Fi in real-time environments. Her contributions have been recognized with the Best Demo Award at international conference COMSNETS 2023 and the Award of Excellence in Innovation Research and DevelopmAent at IIIT Delhi for 2022–2023. She also has received best paper award in the Women in Engineering (WiE) Track at IEEE ANTS 2025.
