Saswati Paramita received her M.Tech in Communication from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur and is currently pursuing her Ph.D. at IIIT Delhi. Her research focuses on enhancing the performance of Li-Fi and hybrid Li-Fi/Wi-Fi networks. With a keen interest in optimizing next-generation wireless communication systems, she works on integrating Li-Fi and Wi-Fi technologies while addressing their unique challenges and limitations.
Her broader research interests include wireless networks, optical wireless communications, and the physical and data link layers of Visible Light Communications (VLC). She has published her work in IEEE Transactions and leading international conferences.
She has also contributed to a funded project by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), developing a Li-Fi prototype for indoor communication and demonstrating its coexistence with Wi-Fi in real-time environments. Her contributions have been recognized with the Best Demo Award at international conference COMSNETS 2023 and the Award of Excellence in Innovation Research and DevelopmAent at IIIT Delhi for 2022–2023.
