Workshop format

SASSUR is a full-day workshop that consists of a mix of keynotes, high-quality paper presentations, and brainstorming and discussion sessions.

As a distinguishing characteristic, each paper will have an assigned discussant (author of another accepted paper) that will have to perform a short critical review of the corresponding paper to trigger discussion. This approach for paper presentation has been and is used in other workshops and conferences (e.g. REFSQ; https://refsq.org/2017/event-information/event-format/).

At least one keynote will be hosted. The presentations of the accepted papers will be organized in sessions according to the topics that emerge from the submissions. One session for brainstorming and in-depth discussions will be planned into the schedule to cover the most important topics identified by the attendees. These sessions will be led by the organizers and by invited experts.
