The Motorcycle Unit provides traffic escorts for dignitaries and assists with security and traffic operations at large public gatherings and special events. The unit also serves a patrol function, enforcing motor vehicle laws.
This section will handle all towing operations for the State Police, working in collaboration with private tow companies. This section will be responsible for clearing roadways of disabled vehicles, providing motorist assistance, and managing post-incident cleanup to ensure that traffic flow is restored as quickly as possible.
Also called the "Truck Team," this unit has many duties and responsibilities. These duties include roadside inspection of commercial vehicles, ensuring the safety of hazardous substances in transport, operating weigh stations, local commercial vehicle enforcement, investigating commercial vehicle crashes, investigations, and operating the regional commercial vehicle academy.

The Special Tactical Operations (STOP) Team is a highly trained and specialized unit that serves as the Commonwealth’s SWAT team, managing high-risk and dangerous law enforcement situations across the state. Their primary duties include executing high-risk search and arrest warrants, often involving armed or violent suspects, as well as responding to hostage situations and barricaded individuals, where they work to achieve safe resolutions through tactical intervention and negotiation. The STOP Team also plays a vital role in active shooter response, utilizing rapid deployment and advanced tactical training to neutralize threats and protect the public. In addition, they support large-scale event security operations, including dignitary protection and crowd management, further contributing to public safety.
