About me

I am a student at Amersham college part of the Buckinghamshire college group. This website showcases all of my college unit work and extra curricular work for year 2.

I decided to do this course to learn more about film production and film studies, and to gain hands on experience with college equipment and facilities. Pursuing a career within the film industry is fueled by my love of film and storytelling. I am most interested in the production role of a cinematographer who is in charge of the visual aesthetic and look of a film, and a producer, an important role that includes overlooking all creative and technical aspects of a production, whether that be greenlighting a film, funding or sourcing locations, producers are above directors and make a film happen. Whenever I have filmed in groups in college or in extracurricular courses I love taking part in all creative parts of a project, from giving input on scripting and shot types, to helping frame and light a shot while filming on set.

My main visual influences are Photgraphers like Adam Ali, Amber Asaly and Nan Goldin. All take their photos on various analog and film mediums. I like texture and colour in photos in-particularly editorial style photography (being a creative director for photoshoots and advertising is a vocation that I am also interested in). Films like La La land, The Florida project, directors including Wes Anderson and Tarantino have a style that has influenced my generation and me. Not to mention shows like Euphoria that uses colour in its cinematography to show intangible emotions beautifully. I cannot wait to start taking more photos on film and expanding my portfolio that will express my artistic visions.
