Current Research Projects

In my lab at the University of Göttingen we are running various studies as bachelor, master, PhD, and postdoc projects. Topics include:

• Learning to read artificial orthographies
• Interface between word- and text-level processing
• Factors that influence parafoveal processing
• Assessment of vocabulary skills in heterogeneous populations

Externally Funded Projects

I currently head the following projects that are externally funded:

REaD

From 2012-2016 I headed the Max Planck Research Group "REaD" (Reading Education and Development) at the Max Planck Institute for Human Development.

Within the group we conducted several medium- to large-scale projects, including:

• childLex (German children's book corpus)
• Developmental Lexicon Project (DeveL)
• DevTrack (Developmental Eye-tracking Study)
• OPeRA (Orthographic Processing during Reading Acquisition)

In addition, we have also run several other interesting studies as PhD and postdoc projects. A full list can found here:
