Of course, I am more than just that dude that tries to work enough to make ends meet and studies ahrd enough to advance!
Since leaving northern Germany, I have developed my passion for hiking! Living right next to the Black Forest (and some more free time during the pandemic) gave me the chance to develop this new hobby! Sometimes I go hiking every single weekend when I am around in Freiburg - alone, with one friend, or as a small group!
When you grow up right next to water, you have to learn swimming as early as possible! And if your father is the head of the local DLRG group (basically the German lifeguards + the people who teach everyone how to swim on a voluntary basis), then you just have to become a part of that family! And so I have been teaching people how to swim ever since I was 14 years old. First, I only assisted. Now, I also work with my own groups and I am on my way to get the official German swimming teacher's certificate.

I joined the first choir in primary school. And ever since, I have stuck with it. I sang as part of an opera children's choir in performances of "Tosca" and "Othello", was part of our musical choir in High School and I had the tremendous honor to join the Wabash College Glee Club for one year in the United States!
During my time in China, I also started learning how to play the Guzheng, a traditional Chinese type of Zither.
