I have been teaching full time since 2007 at three different schools in Kent. I have also done tutoring at a range of levels, worked for a revision school and worked as an examiner for Edexcel and AQA. I also have experience in teaching current specifications from both of these exam boards.
Before teaching I spent over 15 years as a molecular biologist. I did scientific research at University of Leeds, University of Oxford, Wye College (University of London), Imperial College and Hohenheim University. In addition, I spent almost three years as an International Consultant with the International Rice Research Institute as part of a DFID-funded project to help Bangladeshi scientists support farmers to grow rice more productively.

I have worked in Education since 2013, teaching at three different schools in Kent.
I currently teach all science subjects to GCSE level. During my teacher training I specialised in Chemistry and so am qualified to tutor Chemistry at A-level. I pride myself on communicating well with students that find learning difficult, in addition to stretching those that are achieving higher levels.
I have experience in working with students with special educational needs.
