The Sarracenia purpurea International Network (SPIN) is a collaborative group of researchers working on the S. purpurea system across its native and non-native range. The expertise of these researchers spans from community ecology, plant biology, ecosystem ecology, evolutionary ecology, molecular biology, biogeochemistry, and theoretical modelling. The goals of SPIN are to (1) develop and implement collaborative projects that utilizes the unique biogeographic range of S. purpurea and that incorporate scientists from multiple academic fields internationally, (2) develop standardized methodology that can be implemented across laboratories, and (3) to maintain open conversations between researchers.
