Hi my name is John and originally I am from South Korea. I am an undergraduate student at the U studying Mechanical Engineering with an emphasis on Aerospace. Currently, I'm taking classes at SLCC to loosen up my workload and working on an AI/ML for an aerospace design project with professor Renganathan. I will be pursuing a Masters's degree at the U and finish my Ph.D. elsewhere.

I grew up in Salt Lake City, and graduated from Skyline High in 2020. Currently I'm a mechanical engineering major at Columbia University, where I participate in the Formula SAE club as well as the Columbia Space Initiative. Within Formula SAE, I'm a member of the Aerodynamics team and was elected as the social chair of the club for the 2022-23 year. Outside of research, I intend to help design a new aerodynamics kit while kayaking and mountain biking as much as possible.
