March 2020 – I will be co-organizing a special session on scientific machine learning at the AIAA Aviation Forum & Expo 2020. This session includes seven talks from speakers including early-career scientists, academicians and industry leaders. Please be sure to attend if you plan to participate in the conference.

Jan 2020 – Won independent Department of Energy grant for the proposal entitled "Statistics and Machine Learning to Enhance Reduced Order Models". Will serve as lead PI on the project. Stay tuned for updates.

Dec 2019 – New pre-print on science-informed machine learning based reduced order models to emulate transonic flows. arXiv

Dec 2019 – Manuscript accepted for publication in the AIAA Journal. Paper shows applications of the nonintrusive model reduction method originally developed for Ph.D. thesis. arXiv

Oct 2019 – New pre-print. Paper introduces a novel method to fuse dataset from heterogenous sources in aerodynamic analysis with applications to the Digital Twin paradigm in aerospace design. arXiv

April 2019 – Won an 'Early Career' travel grant to attend the SDSS conference organized by the American Statistical Association, to be held at Bellevue, WA

March 2019 – Won a grant and became the Co-PI (joint with Prof. Dimitri Mavris) on a project to develop deep Gaussian processes for emulation and uncertainty quantification. More specifically the project focuses on active learning and automated tuning of the model hyper-parameters. See the Research page for further details.

February 2019 – I will be presenting my work on sequential design of computer experiments at the SIAM CSE19 to be held in Spokane, WA during 2/25 - 3/1/2019. Looking forward to it!

June 2017 – I will be presenting my paper entitled “A Methodology for Projection-Based Model Reduction with Black-Box High-Fidelity Models” at the AIAA Aviation Conference to be held in Denver, CO.

February 2017 – Delivered guest lecture on Reduced Order Modeling for the Advanced Design Methods -III graduate class. (slides to be added soon)

June 2016 – I successfully defended my Ph.D. thesis proposal on 6/22/2016 !!! It was a grand success!!! Ph.D. requirement 2/3 done!

April 2016 – I worked on Bayesian Experimental Design using the Maximum-Entropy Approach. The slides can be found here. This forms a building block for one (but important) part of my PhD Thesis.

July 2015 – Successfully presented my independent research paper on “Conceptual Design of a Two Stage Runway based Space Launch System” at the AIAA Propulsion Conference held at Orlando, FL.

March 2015 – My paper submitted to the AIAA Propulsion and Energy Forum 2015 was accepted! I will be travelling to Orlando, FL in July to present. Looking forward to it!

January 2015 – The abstract of my paper entitled “Conceptual Design of a Two Stage Runway based Space Launch System” was submitted to the AIAA Propulsion and Energy Forum 2015 to be held in Orlando, FL. This is my first independently authored paper and the idea was inspired from a term project I did for the Advanced Aerodynamics class. More on this later..

October 2014 – Successfully passed my PhD Oral Qualifying Exams! And so began the search for a PhD Dissertation topic…


July 2014 – Presented my paper titled “Validation and Assesment of Lower Order Aerodynamics Based Design of Ram Air Turbines” at the Propulsion and Energy Forum held at Cleveland, OH …….. and also made the AIAA Facebook page!
