Mentorship & Conferences
My career has been defined by a commitment to bridging the gap between academia and the professional world, leveraging my extensive international network to strengthen institutional credibility and foster a new generation of skilled professionals. I have always combined the organization of conference with mentorship, working and networking opportunities for professional development of all the participants.
I have an unparalleled record as a conference and workshop organizer, using these platforms to enhance the reputation and visibility of the institutions I have worked with.
Throughout my career, I have championed mentorship and "job dating" events. I organize working and networking opportunities where students can connect with academic scholars, international experts, laying the groundwork for internships, short consultancies, and expanding their professional networks.

2023: Working and Networking workshop organized by IFAD with Rome-based UN agencies (RBAs), the World Bank, and the University of Palermo. This event went far beyond standard training by pioneering an interactive format. Unlike traditional workshops that often rely on one-way lectures, this multi-directional approach gave participants the opportunity to receive constructive feedback on their own research from senior scholars and international experts and network for professional growth.
2022: Job Meet-Up at the IFAD 2022 International Conference on Job Innovation and Value Chain A session dedicated to scholars to give them the opportunity to meet professionals from the three United Nations Rome-based Agencies (FAO, IFAD, WFP) involved in research and policy work, with the goal to provide career guidance and networking opportunities.
