The goal of the instructional unit designed in this class is to have students in a high school Journalism class follow along in a virtual lesson to create their own Snapchat filter for a special school event of their choosing. The lesson enables students to learn an image manipulation program for free while exploring their creativity and gaining new skills. The target audience for this instructional unit is high school juniors and seniors in an elective Journalism class who understand how to operate basic techniques of technologies such as computers, smartphones, cameras, and microphone recorders.
