Welcome! Thank you for considering me as your therapist. Take a look at my website to learn more about me and my practice.
Sometimes life changes because of the choices we make and sometimes life changes anyway. The necessary adjustments often challenge our coping skills and what used to work no longer does. This can result in depression and/or anxiety. I specialize in and particularly enjoy working with adults who are experiencing and adapting to life changes including romantic relationships, work, and parenthood. Therapy presents an opportunity to gain insight, learn, and practice new skills in a supportive and non-judgmental atmosphere.
The therapeutic relationship is the strongest indicator of a positive outcome in terms of therapy and I encourage anyone seeking a therapist to take this into account.
“In my early professional years I was asking the question: How can I treat, or cure, or
change this person? Now I would phrase the question in this way: How can I provide a relationship which this person may use for his own personal growth?”
- Carl R. Rogers
You can’t control a whole damn family, but you can control you, and any time you can control you, the family is a healthier organism. That is a reason to become a self. The more you can become a self, the more to your advantage, and the family’s.
