LEARNing IN social interaction and the role of inter-brain SYNChrony
LEARINSYNC is a project funded by a Marie-Curie-Action Fellowship and starting in September 2026.
Why do we learn better with others? Is learning shaped more by who teaches us, or by who learns alongside us? Is learner-teacher brain synchrony causing more effective learning?
These are some of the questions that LEARNINSYNC will aim to answer. It will investigate the correlational and causal relationship between learning in social interaction and brain synchrony using EEG hyperscanning across three people.
For this project, I will be working at the Institute of Italian Techonology (IIT) in Rome with Dr Giacomo Novembre, the leader of the Neuroscience of Perception and Action Group.
