My current post-doc project, Wisdom in the Empire: Gender, Authority, Performance - WisE-GAP (funded with a Leverhulme Trust 'Study Abroad Studentship' and a ‘Seal of Excellence’ grant of the Excellence Initiative of the University of Lille), centres on conceptions of maxims as rhetorical devices and pedagogical tools, in imperial Greek and Roman epistolary texts and moral treatises.
I also specialise in archaic Greek literature, with a focus on Theognis, elegy, and didactic poetry. I wrote my PhD thesis on the reception of the Theognidea throughout antiquity (Theognis Out of the Symposium: Studies in the Ancient Reception of the Theognidea, 2021).
I have interests in Greek drama, particularly comedy.
