Learning SolidWorks modeling
This sphere demonstrates basic Extrude cut commands but also Revolve boss base around an axis.
This C clip demonstrates sketching circles with extruding. Also to add addition cut outs to the part.
This Rod shows circular Extruding and cutting but also a new command chamfer
Simple rectangular command and extruded to a certain length. modified to have a square punch out in the center
Simple Rectangular shape with two holes punched out on either side. The Two holes were created using relationships of equal and symmetrical .
The clamp pin is a circular command and extruded to a certin length with chamfer at end of each circular edge
Advanced Parts
These set of parts are more advanced and demonstrates a variety of different skills such as chamfer, fillet, threads, shell, circular pattern and hole wizard.
0002
Part 002 started out as a rectangle and then with three rectangular cut outs using Extrude cut out and with a hole cut out at the heart of the part.
0004
part 004 consists of two circles that are connected by two lines using the relations commands such as tangent and coincident relationships. and then extruded. There are fillets on the edges of the part.
0006
0006 consists of rectangular command, circular commands and oval commands and Extrude cut .
1001
1001 was fully sketched out with fillets the tail has a 45 degree cut out. and then using hole- wizard i used a tapped hole and used Extrude cut- "up to surface"
V1010
V1010 is a screw by using "appearances" to create an image of threads. this part is very simple to create it started out using circle command and then extrude and fillet at the end to create a dome shape
A1005
A1005 started by sketching and extruding a circle. Then at every 90 degrees there is a circle with with different diameters and at the ends of each circle is a line connecting to the edge of the part to create an oval shape cut out.
C1002
C -1002 is a screw without the threads it the way i created this was Sketching half the screw and then revolve around a construction line then I used the chamfer command to smooth out the sharp edges. and lastly created a hole at the center of the head of the screw.
tutorial block
This part was created by making an extruded 12x12 square with a extruded holes in the center. Next we went to the back of the part and used the shell command.
v1001
V1001 started out as a long rectangular block with two rectangular cut outs. four stems for bracketing, and a circular hump with a hole cut through it using hole wizard. There are a total of seven circular holes.
0006
0006 started out as a sketch of an "L" and then Extruded. There are two triangular cut-outs on the upward side of the part. Next i created a triangle that connects from the top and bottom of the part at the center. And lastly there are two symmetrical holes on either side of the part.
1006
1006 started by sketching a circle and extruding it. Then sketching a slightly larger circle extruding that to certain length and then fillet that by 0.06in.
0003
0003 is a extruded rectangle with fillets on the edges. And in the center are two small holes and a larger hole in between the smaller holes. All three holes were created by using Hole wizard.
V1002
V1002 is complicated part, it has a mixture of sketches, Extrusions and cut outs and fillets.
V1005
V1005 started by sketching and extruding a circle and then doing the same operation at the bottom of the previous circle. After that I created thread on the top half of the part then adding a rectangular slit of the thread.
cs-1007
cs-1007 was created by sketching out half the part and then revolving it around an axis
0001
0001 is relatively easy, it starts out as rectangular block and then sketching another block inside a The extruded box, then Extrude cut the sketched box through the part. Next there is another rectangular cut-out within the previous cutout but in a horizontal manner. And lastly there are two holes placed on the top face of the part.

Sea Clamp Project
Regular View
Exploded view
was fully sketched out with fillets the tail has a 45 degree cut out. and then using hole- wizard i used a tapped hole and used Extrude cut- "up to surface"
is a continuation of c-1002 but with the addition of threads and knurls
C-1003 was created by sketching a part of it then revolving it around a temporary axis
Pipe Vice Project
Sub-parts for pipe vice assembly
All parts are made in metric
Base
A very complex part, That deals with a lot of sketching's, relations, circular commands and extrusion cuts.
Lower Jaw
The lower Jaw was sketched out by creating an L shape, then from the top down I created a stair case of 9 horizontal lines and 9 vertical line. Then I used the Equal relationship to make each line the same length. Then I Sketched two symmetrical circles At a distance.
Upper jaw
The upper Jaw was sketched out by creating an L shape, then from the top down I created a stair case of 9 horizontal lines and 9 vertical line. Then I used the Equal relationship to make each line the same length. . Then I Sketched two symmetrical circles At a distance.
Upper Jaw support
The upper jaw support was first started out as a sketch of a box with two square cut outs at the bottom edge and then Extruded. After I selected the front plane to sketch a half circle and then extruded to a certain number. Next Comes a series of cuts and fillets for the functionality of the assembly.
Vice support
The vice support started as a series of circles with different proportion to form a opened an square with Fillets and different relations such as tangent and coincident. Next on the top view i created a extruded circle going down to form a by pass for the Adjustment screw. On the front plane i created another extruded circle on the left side of the part for the pad lock. On the bottom are two circles That are for screws to secure to the base.
Pad Lock
The pad lock was roughly Sketched out and then Extruded by the mid-point. And last a circular cut out.
Adjustment Screw
i created this was Sketching half the screw and then revolve around a construction line then I used the chamfer command to smooth out the sharp edges. and lastly created a hole at the center of the head of the screw. and with the addition of threads and knurls.
Handle
The Handle in its Entirety was sketched Half way and revolved around an axis.
Arbor Press Assembly
Arbor Body
-------------No Description--------------
A1006
This part started out by sketching and extruding a circle. Then at every 90 degrees there is a circle with with different diameters and at the ends of each circle is a line connecting to the edge of the part to create an oval shape cut out.
A1007
A1007 Is a Extruded circle with Horizontal Cut outs on the ends of the rod using circular pattern to create an interesting design.
A1008
A1008 is a Extruded circle with one fillet on one edge and on the bottom Face was cut out to form a cap for the A1007.
A1003
Al003 Consists of two Extruded Circles and on the first circular body i created A set of teeth using the Extrude cut command and circular pattern to form around the body. to compliment the teeth I blended in between the teeth for aesthetics. lastly I Sketched out two circles on the top face and front face of the part for screws.
A1002
A1002 Started out as a rectangular Sketch then Extruded. Next we Added twenty two individual teeth for Functionality for the assembly
A1004
A1004 Is a Extruded Rectangle with four filleted Edges and four large holes near the fillets. Next In the center is a rectangular cut out with All around filleted edges with two symmetrical tapped holes, using Hole wizard
Gibb Plate
The Gibb Plate Is a rectangle that's been Extruded.
