Devdaha is has an ancient history that relates to the Lord Gautama Buddha. It is where Mayadevi natively lived before marriage with king Sudhodana of Koliya kingdom. Here are some touristic attraction sites in this reign though we don't see much of the development. People over here are very friendly and are have been residing here since decades who belongs from many places, and from different religions. It is a beautiful garden with variety of flowers.
As I told above, here are many touristic places that has scope for the development they are as follows:
1) Devdaha - A small sacred pond that has a supernatural power as in beliefs then. In the tales of "Koliyas" this is a pond where a generally elected personal as a king to be would take the vows to give up the favoritism, nepotism and selfishness. Solely the one surrenders himself to the welfare of the nation. And the bath in this pond makes it possible with its superpower. The scariest part of the vows in this pond for those who works against it could be life threatening. Some other whispers says that Apsaras (fairies) from heaven use to come here to take a bath in every full moon night.
2) Pakadi Tree- A tree that is so wide spread around 60sq ft that is believed to be from centuries around buddha's tiime. It is so beautiful and has cool shades even in hot weather in this tropical savana. Some benches are around the tree makes it more suitable here. People could enjoy watching the surroundings of green farms. This place could be the best location for escaping the hot temperature.
3) Mathagadhi- It is a small route of hiking for the tourist they love walking in the hills. The beautiful view of the Koliya Kingdom or the Devdaha area is seen from here
Last is there are some small and two big structured temples; Panchayan Durga Temple and Panchayan Lokeshvora Shiva temple and some green parks for picnic purpose; Shree Gautama Buddha Rastriya Udyan or Gautama Buddha Rastriya Udyan and Yashodara park.
