The San Antonio Police Department's Criminal Investigations Division plays a critical role in handling a wide array of criminal cases, including homicides, sexual assaults, robberies, financial crimes, and more. Through methodical investigation, evidence collection, and collaboration with other law enforcement entities, our CID officers work diligently to identify and apprehend those responsible for criminal activities within our community.

Key responsibilities of our Criminal Investigations Division include, but are not limited to:

• Homicide Investigations: Our dedicated homicide detectives are responsible for conducting thorough investigations into cases involving loss of life. Their expertise in evidence collection, witness interviews, and forensic analysis is instrumental in bringing justice to victims and holding perpetrators accountable.

• Robbery and Theft Investigations: CID detectives work diligently to investigate and solve robbery and theft-related crimes, ensuring the recovery of stolen property and apprehension of suspects.
