Carrots are chock a block with goodness. Vitamins A, B1, B2, B3, B6, C, E, and K. Minerals, potassium, iron, calcium, sodium, phosphorus, magnesium, silica, sulphur, chlorine and chromium. It's one of the best sources of beta-carotene on earth. Carrot juice is loaded with anti-oxidants.
#Fun fact: Did you know that during the reign of Elizabeth I, the carrot became popular in England as a food and as a fashion accessory. Posh ladies would use carrot tops to decorate their hats!
#Fun fact 2: Originally carrots were purple, red, white and yellow. In the 16th century Dutch carrot growers created orange carrots in honour of the Dutch Royal Family (The House of Orange). Dutch explorers consequently traveled the world and introduced these carrots in other countries.
