Santiago Gómez-Cardona

I am a lecturer at University College Maastricht (UCM) Maastricht University (UM), the Netherlands. I am an empirical-oriented economist with a background in anthropology. Most, but not all, of my work is related to renewable resource extraction and transportation in developing contexts.  I am an advocate of experimental approaches, interdisciplinary work, and the use of open-access software (R over Stata).

I have a Ph.D. in Economics from Universidad de Los Andes (Bogotá, Colombia), a Msc. in Economics at the same university; and a Msc. in Anthropology from Universidad Nacional de Colombia (Bogotá, Colombia).  My undergraduate studies were in Anthropology at Universidad de Antioquia (Medellín, Colombia).  You can find my CV here, and my Google Scholar Profile here.
