Family Health & Illness Concepts Lab
Welcome to 2nd Semester:
This is a magical semester as evidenced by the miracle of birth and the care of both mother and precious child. This course is the clinical portion of RN172 theory. There are 243 laboratory total hours emphasizing the application of the concepts related to Family Health and Illness. RN 172L also incorporates some clinical hours in community-based settings, which include a wide variety of clinics, home health, hospice, and outpatient service centers.
Mandatory Clinical Orientation:
Monday, August 19th, 2024 at Santa Ana College Health Science Bldg. (Room: HS-106)
From 0800-1800.
Please arrive on time! We will start promptly at 0800.
YOU MUST WEAR YOUR Nursing Uniform as you will be traveling to your designated clinical site in the afternoon!
* FYI Reminder: St. Joseph Hospital clinical groups must bring $10 cash (exact change) deposit for Hospital ID Badge.
** We will begin the morning by taking a Medication Administration Competency Exam. Please review the practice medication dosage calculations attached. You will take a similar styled exam of 20 dosage calculation questions.
