नापृष्टः कस्यचिद् ब्रूयान्न चान्यायेन पृच्छतः।

जानन्नपि हि मेधावी जडवल्लोक आचरेत्॥५६॥

अन्वयः-

अपृष्टः कस्यचित् न ब्रूयात् अन्यायेन पृच्छतः च मेधावी जानन् अपि हि लोके जडवत् आचरेत्

One, not asked, should not speak to anybody; (he) should not speak to one who is asking unjustly. Let an intelligent person, though (is really] knowing, behave like a benumbed (dull-witted) in the world.
