अकृत्वा परसन्तापमगत्वा खलनम्रताम् ।

अनुत्सृज्य सतां वर्त्म यदल्पमपि तद् बहु ॥१॥

अन्वयः-

परसन्तापम् अकृत्वा खलनम्रताम् अगत्वा सतां वर्त्म अनुत्सृज्य यद् अल्पम् अपि तत् बहु

अनुवादः-

Without causing harm to others, without bowing before the wicked, without leaving the path of the virtuous, whatever small (one gets), that [is to be treated as] much.
