The 4 C's are complementary to the 3 R's (Reading, writing & Arithmatic) so that learning can keep up with our complex and constantly changing world. They are needed skills to prepare students for life in general and for the labor market that is becoming increasingly competitive and demanding

Connectivism is a learning approach in the digital age. It is facilitated by online information and takes into account today's global learning due to the connection of people through the internet.

Connectivism is a newly developed theory based on the idea that knowledge is exists everywhere, accessible via technology and organized by the learner (individualized).
