TIB Lab is focused on the development of next-generation BIOMATERIALS platforms that can bridge complex and multi-organ disease mechanisms. Our research seeks to translate cutting-edge biomaterials science into therapeutic and diagnostic solutions for a wide range of clinical diseases.
Inter-organ Targeting Biomaterials
Designing single, modular biomaterials capable of addressing integrative pathophysiolofical mechanisms, such as Gut-Brain axis disorders, Brain-Local Tumor interactions, Lymph-Tumor communication, and other complex inter-organ signaling networks
Cancer immunotherapy
Engineering biomaterials to enhance disease microenvironment & immune modulation and tumor-specific targeting, aiming to improve therapeutic outcomes
Therapeutic Cell & Gene Editing
Developing biomaterial-assisted platforms for precise, programmable, and personalized treatments using advanced cell therapies and gene-editing technologies
Advanced Drug Delivery Systems
Investigating the interaction between drugs and biomaterial backbones, with an emphasis on AI-driven predictions, stimuli-responsive release systems, targeted delivery strategies
Precision Diagnostics
Creating platforms that reflecting disease heterogeneity by detecting disease-specific biomarkers, enabling early, accurate, and individualized diagnosis, tailoring diagnostics to the patient's molecular and cellular disease profile
Through interdisciplinary approaches that integrate BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERING, ORGANIC MATERIAL SCIENCE, and IMMUNO/BIOLOGY, our goal is to develop "Translational solutions" that go beyond traditional, single-target therapies toward a future of precision medicine for complex diseases.
