Throughout all the years of hard work and passion towards arts and cultures, SANGGAR KIRANA has fruitfully established a group of talented and reputable gamelan players. In conjunction with all the great achievements by SANGGAR KIRANA, the management of UTP has highly supported the team in producing their very first album of promoting Gamelan Melayu to all levels of age and culture.

GATRA PERTAMA (2013)
The debut album entitled “Gatra Pertama” was launched on the 18 September 2013, at a special event in Marriot Putrajaya. The launching marks a historic event for the university as it is the first ever gamelan album produced in Malaysia by university students. The album was also launched to celebrate SANGGAR KIRANA’s accomplishments throughout its 11th year of establishment.

To mark the celebration of SANGGAR KIRANA’s 18th Anniversary, a second album entitled “Gatra Kedua” was launched in December 2017 at Royal Chulan Kuala Lumpur with the passion to preserve and promote Gamelan music. It features a compilation of songs that capture the beauty and authenticity of gamelan music. The second album comprises of seven contemporary songs composed by Teuku Umar Ilany and Ahmad Muriz Che Rose.
