I recently had the opportunity to attend the ECCOMAS 2022 conference in Norway and took the opportunity to explore the beautiful cities of Oslo and Tromso.

First up was Oslo, the capital and largest city of Norway. Located on the country's southern coast, Oslo is a vibrant and modern city with a rich history and culture. One of the highlights of my visit was a trip to the Vigeland Sculpture Park, which features over 200 sculptures by Gustav Vigeland. The park is a must-see for anyone visiting Oslo, with its stunning sculptures and beautiful gardens.

Another highlight of my time in Oslo was a visit to the Munch Museum, which houses the largest collection of works by the famous Norwegian painter, Edward Munch. The museum is located in the Tøyen neighborhood, and is a great place to learn about Munch's life and work.

After a few days in Oslo, I headed north to Tromso, a city located above the Arctic Circle. Tromso is known for its stunning natural surroundings, with breathtaking fjords and mountains that offer endless opportunities for outdoor adventures. I spent my time in Tromso exploring the city's charming streets, visiting the Tromso Museum, and taking a boat tour of the surrounding islands.

One of the highlights of my trip to Tromso was a visit to the Arctic Cathedral, a modernist building that is one of the city's most iconic landmarks. The cathedral is located in the city center, and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and fjords.Overall, my trip to Tromso and Oslo was an incredible experience. Both cities are rich in history, culture, and natural beauty, and I can't wait to return someday.
