After attending the IEEE AIKE conference in Cagliari Italy, I couldn't resist the opportunity to explore more of Italy and Switzerland.

First up was Rome, the Eternal City. As soon as I arrived, I was in awe of the ancient architecture and rich history that seemed to permeate every corner of the city. I spent my days touring the Colosseum, the Pantheon, and the Trevi Fountain, and my evenings indulging in delicious Italian cuisine and gelato.

Next, I headed to the beautiful lakeside town of Como in northern Italy. Nestled in the foothills of the Alps, Como was a peaceful and picturesque escape from the hustle and bustle of Rome. I spent my days exploring the charming streets, taking boat rides on the lake, and soaking up the stunning views of the surrounding mountains.

Finally, I made my way to Switzerland, where I spent a few days in the charming city of Lucerne. From the stunning Old Town to the iconic wooden covered bridge, there was no shortage of sights to see. But the real highlight for me was the day I spent hiking in the nearby Swiss Alps. The breathtaking views and crisp mountain air were truly unforgettable.

Overall, my trip to Italy and Switzerland was an amazing experience that I will always treasure. From the rich history and culture of Rome to the stunning natural beauty of the Swiss Alps, these two countries truly have it all. I can't wait to go back and explore even more of what they have to offer.
