Project assistant (ANRF Funded Project)

Job Description:  Assist in visits to collaborating hospitals for patient recruitment, sample collection, and maintenance of clinical records. Support laboratory experiments, including DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, qPCR, gel electrophoresis, library preparation, and sequencing workflows. Maintain laboratory inventory, sample records, and assist in procurement of reagents and consumables.  Perform routine laboratory tasks and other project-related activities as assigned from time to time.

Prospective Ph.D. students must apply via ACSIR and clear IGIB's PhD two-round interview process and then send their latest CV as well as a 1 page statement summarizing their past research experience, if any, and future research interests.  Previous experience in any of the following is desired but not essential- molecular biology, bioinformatics, R/Python programming.
