KMS Public School
+*KMS Pop Group
The KMS Pop Group consists of 20 boys and girls who work on pop music outside of the school day to perform at concerts, solo and ensemble contest, and also at various venues in the area. Presently, there are 10 boys and 10 girls, an accompanist, and a manager, totaling 22 members.
+*Solo and Ensemble Contest
The Solo and Ensemble Contest is usually in the end of March or early April. Students spend 6-8 weeks, meeting with the director, learning and memorizing solos, and/or ensembles. At the contest, the solos and ensembles sing for a judge and are given a score. The highest score is 40, and the ratings are Superior, Excellent, Good, Fair, and Poor.
*National Anthem
Students may come in and work with the director to prepare a solo, duet, trio, quartet, or ensemble to sing the National Anthem at an athletic event, or other program. Anyone who is prepared, my give their name to the athletic director and feel free to sing as needed at KMS events.
KMS Musical
KMS musicals are held usually every other year. Students may audition for a lead, or a chorus part. If you audition for a lead, you must audition alone. If you audition for a chorus part, you may audition in a small group.
+You earn a KMS Letter if are in this activity.
*You must be a member of the KMS Choir to be in this activity.
