After immense consideration, the Sandstone Summer Theatre Board of Directors made the decision to pause their adult productions, following our 2024 production of Legally Blonde The Musical. 

SST has come a long way since it was formed by members of the Amherst Women’s League in 1969 to give local students a chance to perform. In 1983, we expanded to include more opportunities for children, and in 2022, we began a program for even younger kids. 

While The Board of Directors is hopeful to see the adult production return in the future, we've decided to invest our time and resources in our junior and kids theatre productions after many discussions about what's best for SST at this time. We believe this will help us better fulfill our mission of nurturing a love for the arts in children from an early age. 

The Board of Directors thank supporters, actors, designers, crew, musicians, board members, and all that have helped our adult productions through the years. We are eternally grateful to you. It has been a truly rewarding experience to witness the many individuals that this program has impacted.
