In the summer of 2024, conversations began with the Sandstone Board of Directors on how Sandstone could continue to support the Amherst school district to provide theatre opportunities to Amherst students. Running the junior high program aligned with Sandstone's mission of providing an educational theatre experience to all and the district welcomed this collaboration! This program ran from October 2024 to February 2025 and featured a cast of 32 students from Nord and Amherst Junior High. 

We are elated to continue this program for winter 2026-2027! The 2026-2027 production will be How to Train Your Dragon The Musical JR.

Registration opens August 1 and is open to students in 4th-8th grade. There is a $250 registration fee per student. Limited scholarships are available upon an additional application.
