In 2024, the S&S Plaza SciCAT Farm served 34 beneficiaries through farm immersions, tours, and LGU-requested trainings in various locations. Despite being affected by Typhoon Kristine in October, restoration activities were quickly implemented, including repairs, planting, and site maintenance. The team conducted benchmarking and educational tours to KOPIA Villages and eco-farms, gaining insights into advanced organic and sustainable practices. Blended agri-tourism efforts were launched through activities like online games and a hybrid training that engaged over 100 participants. Collaboration with LGUs in San Pablo City and Siniloan also advanced, with site visits, planning meetings, and MOU signings aimed at replicating SciCAT innovations and establishing new agri-tourism farms.

The COVID-19 pandemic emphasized the critical importance of food security, highlighting the need for safe, nutritious, and sustainable food sources. It underscored the value of ecologically sound farming practices, many of which are already in use at the S&S Plaza, with more that can still be adopted. Home-based food production also gained prominence, inspiring a surge of interest among new and experienced growers alike. However, the pandemic created challenges in transferring agricultural knowledge, requiring innovative and blended approaches beyond traditional face-to-face methods. As a SciCAT farm, S&S Plaza must adapt by offering agri-tourism packages and promoting its technologies through both digital platforms and on-site experiences.
