My main research interest lies in understanding the impact of human activities on protected wildlife species and their habitat, and in the evaluation of the effectiveness of conservation strategies.
Over the last years, I dedicated my work on the study of animal behavior and ecology (i.e. wild boars, black and white colobus monkeys, meerkats, chimpanzees, gorillas, bonobos and small carnivores), their population density and distribution, threats, habitat and conservation management in several countries (i.e. Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Rwanda, Uganda, Burundi, Cameroon, South Africa, Canada, Italy and England).
I have strong project management skills and scientific research abilities, and an extensive educational background on protected areas, threatened species, conservation activities, wildlife survey methodologies, complex analytical methods and data interpretation of impact assessments, and sustainable use of natural resources. I have excellent experience in statistics and GIS-linked problem solving, and in developing and managing extensive databases.
