Picking Up Stones an american jew wakes to a nightmare is an 80-minute solo performance written and performed by Sandra Laub. The play has been presented internationally in cultural, educational, and community settings, and continues to evolve as it tours.

Past performances have taken place at festivals, museums, synagogues, universities, and community venues in the United States and the United Kingdom. Each presentation is shaped by the space, the audience, and the moment, with post-show dialogue serving as an integral part of the experience.

JW3 is the only Jewish Community Centre of its kind in the UK, serving as a dynamic, cross-communal hub for Jewish arts, culture, education, and social action. 

Additional performances will be announced as bookings are confirmed.

Touring Information

The production is designed for touring and can be presented in a wide range of spaces, including theaters, cultural centers, synagogues, universities, and civic forums. Technical requirements are minimal, and same-day setup is typically possible.

Each performance may be followed by a facilitated talkback or community discussion, tailored to the hosting organization and audience.
