These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of ChoreQuest and related mobile applications, services, and content (collectively, the "Services") provided by Sandman Studios ("we", "our", "us").
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using ChoreQuest, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Services.
If you are a parent or legal guardian using ChoreQuest on behalf of your household or children, you are responsible for use of the Services by your family members under your account.
ChoreQuest is designed for family use under parent or legal guardian supervision. Children are not intended to create independent accounts.
You agree that:
- account registration information provided by you is accurate and current
- you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials, parent PIN, and account access
- you are responsible for activities that occur under your account
- you will notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization
We may suspend or restrict access to the Services if we reasonably believe there has been unauthorized use, misuse, or a breach of these Terms.
You may use ChoreQuest only for lawful, personal, and family-related purposes.
You agree not to:
- use the Services in any way that violates applicable law or regulation
- interfere with, disrupt, or damage the Services or related systems
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, data, or infrastructure
- use the Services to harass, abuse, or harm others
- copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, decompile, or exploit any part of the Services except as permitted by law
- use the Services for commercial resale or unauthorized commercial purposes
We may investigate misuse and take appropriate action, including suspension or termination of access.
ChoreQuest allows parent-managed family data such as chores, reward tracking, household settings, and child profile information.
You are responsible for the content and information you create, enter, or manage within the Services, including ensuring that you have authority to provide information about children or other family members included in your household account.
You retain responsibility for ensuring that your family’s use of the Services is appropriate for your circumstances.
ChoreQuest may offer optional paid subscriptions through Google Play.
If you purchase a subscription through Google Play:
- billing is handled by Google Play under Google Play’s terms, policies, and billing rules
- subscription pricing, billing frequency, trial offers, renewal terms, and applicable taxes are shown at the time of purchase
- subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled through Google Play
- you can manage or cancel your subscription through your Google Play account
- deleting the app, clearing app data, or deleting your ChoreQuest account does not automatically cancel your subscription
- unless otherwise required by law, cancellation stops future renewals but does not usually refund the current billing period
- access to paid features may continue until the end of the active billing period or trial period, depending on Google Play’s billing rules
We do not receive or store your full payment card details.
We may use subscription status and related entitlement data to provide premium access, restore purchases, validate access, and prevent fraud or billing errors.
Some features of ChoreQuest may be available free of charge, while others may require a paid subscription.
We may change, add, remove, or reclassify features over time, including moving features between free and paid tiers, provided that any such changes comply with applicable law and platform rules.
We may offer free trials, introductory pricing, or promotional offers from time to time, subject to availability and any stated eligibility rules.
Unless otherwise stated at the time of the offer:
- free trials convert to paid subscriptions automatically at the end of the trial period
- introductory or promotional pricing may be limited in duration
- not all users will be eligible for all offers
- offer availability may vary by location, platform, or account status
To avoid being charged after a free trial, you must cancel the subscription before the trial period ends through Google Play.
We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time, including features, content, technical requirements, or compatibility.
We may also release updates, bug fixes, security patches, and new versions of the app. Some updates may be required for continued use of certain features.
ChoreQuest may depend on or integrate with third-party services and platforms, including Google Play, Firebase, Google Cloud, and related infrastructure providers.
Your use of third-party platforms may also be subject to their own terms, privacy policies, and billing rules. We are not responsible for the independent acts or policies of third-party providers.
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to the Services if:
- you breach these Terms
- we reasonably suspect misuse, fraud, abuse, or unlawful activity
- continued operation of your account creates risk to other users, our Services, or our systems
- we are required to do so by law or platform policy
You may stop using the Services at any time.
Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply after termination, including sections relating to billing obligations, intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and dispute-related provisions where applicable.
The Services, including software, branding, names, logos, designs, text, graphics, interfaces, and other content provided by us, are owned by or licensed to Sandman Studios and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
These Terms do not transfer ownership of any intellectual property rights to you. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Services for personal family use in accordance with these Terms.
The Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the fullest extent permitted by law.
We do not guarantee that the Services will always be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or available at all times.
To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Nothing in these Terms excludes rights that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer law.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sandman Studios will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, revenue, profits, goodwill, or business opportunities arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Services.
Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the minimum extent permitted by law.
If applicable law does not permit some or all of the above limitation, those limitations apply only to the extent permitted by law.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude, restrict, or modify any non-excludable consumer rights or guarantees available under applicable law, including applicable Australian consumer protections, UK consumer protections, or mandatory US state law rights where they apply.
Your use of the Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
Please review our Privacy Policy for information about how we collect, use, disclose, store, and protect personal information.
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect product, legal, operational, or business changes.
When we make material changes, we may update the Last Updated date and provide notice where appropriate.
Your continued use of the Services after updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms, unless applicable law requires a different form of consent.
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction in which Sandman Studios operates, unless mandatory local law requires otherwise.
If you are a consumer, you may also have rights under the mandatory laws of your country or state of residence.
