Cat Woo teaches K-5 elementary music at Inez Science and Technology Magnet Elementary School in Albuquerque, NM. Cat has a Bachelors in Music Education degree from New Mexico State University, a Masters in Music from the University of New Mexico, and is currently pursuing her PhD in Music Education from Texas Tech University. Cat is certified in Orff-Schulwerk, Kodaly, World Music Drumming, First Steps in Music, and Conversational Solfege. She has served as the General Music Vice-President of the New Mexico Music Educators Association and is currently the General Music Vice-President for NMMEA District VII. Currently, she is a member of the Connected Arts Network through the National Association for Music Education. Cat has been a board member for the New Mexico chapter of AOSA, serving as Vice-President, President, Past President, and as Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Advisor. For the American Orff-Schulwerk Association, she has served as the Local Conference Co-Chair for the 2023 AOSA National Conference in Albuquerque, Course Director for New Mexico Orff Levels, and is a member of the AOSA Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Access Incident Response Team. She is an Apple Certified Teacher, a Nearpod Certified Teacher, and a Google for Education Certified Trainer. In addition to teaching, Cat is a professional bass clarinetist in the Southwest and an active international presenter and clinician for elementary music education and technology.
Joshua Block is in his 26th year teaching music and movement at public and private schools. He currently teaches Pre-K through eighth-grade music at All Saints’ Episcopal Day School in Phoenix, AZ. Joshua is a Past President of AZ Orff and teaches movement classes for Orff-Schulwerk certification courses in Arizona, New Mexico, and San Diego. He has completed his Kodály certification and is a Past President of the Arizona Kodály Teachers Society. He is a past member of the American Orff-Schulwerk Association Board of Trustees and has presented sessions at the AOSA National Conference. Joshua has presented workshops for the Chinese Orff-Schulwerk Association in Beijing, Chengdu, and Xi’an in addition to numerous Orff chapters around the United States. Joshua has published articles in Reverberations and the Orff Echo. He is a past director of the Phoenix Boys Choir’s Cadet Choir and has taught music, dance, and creativity classes at Arizona State University. Joshua is also the worship leader at Valley View Bible Church in Paradise Valley.
Jonathan Seligman (he/him) is an Asian-American elementary music educator born, raised, and serving in San Diego, CA. He’s taught at Casillas Elementary for the past ten years, creating the program from the ground up. Jonathan focuses on students finding their voice through their own creation and improvisation via music, movement, and sound design. On top of creating their own work, a large emphasis of Jonathan’s is to provide literature of the students’ diverse backgrounds
and beyond. On top of being course director, Jonathan currently serves as president of SDAOSA, works with the AOSA DEIA subcommittee, and one of the hosts of Chaotic Harmony Podcast.
