A Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) is part of doing inspection on any vehicles that is weighted over 10,000 lbs. that has to stop at all Weight stations for inspections as it is required for any vehicles to be inspected that is more then 10,000 lbs. As a CMV unit will be at all weight station and others patrols as a Commercial Motor Vehicle Highway Patrol.

An Air Support Unit you were to give information to CHP to look for a suspect that flee from scene or traffic stop that was fleeing on foot. You were to eyeball the high-speed pursuit. It also requires two people in the helicopter as one is looking at the camera and other operation the helicopter for safety reason while in the Air. There is field training for this type of Operations as an Air Operations.

Motorcycle units are working as in depended on doing Speed Enforcement and others to catch others for any unsafety things.
