San Luigi Childcare Centers, was born out of passion and love for children.

Ms Charmaine Caruana, the owner, director and founder of this educational community, overcame the loss of a beloved child by creating a network of support and protection for early childhood.

Luigi is this beloved child who keeps this community motivated to offer the highest quality in care and education.

Our mission at San Luigi Child Centre is to provide high quality, individualized attention for each child who is trusted within our care.

By working alongside parents and/or guardians, we seek to provide a home-like environment in which children are encouraged to develop at their own pace yet to their full potential.

Holistic development is constantly promoted through a variety of activities which are prepared by our devoted and fully qualified staff personnel. This is made possible by the nurturing atmosphere created at our highly equipped childcare center which allows every stakeholder involved to feel a sense of belonging.

Through the study and research of different educational theories, such as Gardner's Theory of Multiple Intelligences, Vygotsky's Educational Theory and Bandura's Social Learning Theory, together with the inspiring Reggio Emilia methodology, we provide the best possible learning experiences for all our children.

The Reggio Emilia pedagogy that inspires the San Luigi Childcare Centres focuses on the potential of childhood development and its rights. This pedagogy inspires us to give a voice to children, who are already complete human beings who develop through their relationship with the environment and society. Our educational approach, as well as that of our inspiring pedagogy, is based on <<wonder>>, since we agree that children require emotion for learning to be possible.

Children are capable of following their natural instinct to discover and their innate curiosity. Knowledge during childhood is produced spontaneously, with emotion being the essential engine for learning. With this motivation and philosophy, we pay attention to the individual needs of each child, to their entire being and their areas of development.
