Hello, I am a first year PhD Physics student at Ahmedabad University. I am currently carrying out my PhD coursework project on identifying and characterizing young star-forming clumps in dwarf galaxies using UVIT/AstroSat and multi-wavelength data. These studies are crucial in the context of understanding the hierarchical nature of the star formation in less massive galaxies. This project is being carried out in collaboration with experts at the Indian Institute of Astrophysics and IUCAA. My research interests are understanding star formation in nearby galaxies, the physical processes (internal/ external) which triggers them, multi-wavelength data analysis and big data analysis in Astronomy.  My other interests are reading, writing, coding and music.

Greetings, I am a 4th year Bachelor of Science student at Ahmedabad University. I am majoring in physics and minoring in mathematics. I am currently carrying out my undergraduate thesis on white dwarfs in Galactic Globular Clusters using deep UV and optical data from the Hubble Space Telescope. The study is crucial for understanding the formation scenarios of He-core White Dwarf stars (WDs) and the cooling sequence of WDs. This project is being carried out in collaboration with experts from the Space Telescope Science Institute (MD, USA). My research interests include globular clusters and stellar evolution of low-mass stars. My other interests include reading books on the history of science and painting.

Hello, I am Tejas Thakur, a 2nd year BSc Physics student at St. Xavier’s College Mumbai. I am currently carrying out a project on studying UV bright star clusters/associations in the Magellanic Clouds using UVIT/AstroSat and multi-wavelength data. This study is crucial in the context of understanding the properties of clusters/associations in the Magellanic Clouds, and the formation history of the Magellanic Bridge. This project is being carried out in collaboration with experts from the Pontificia Universidad Catolica De Chile, and Indian Institute of Astrophysics. I am still trying to determine my true research interests, but star clusters and astroparticle physics interest me. My other interests are film making and visual arts.
