While this seems like an odd thing to put in a professional experience page, the lessons learned were invaluable. Hard work, long hours, and problem solving were some of the lessons learned. While it seems grueling, it was a very enjoyable experience.
Early on in my dental career, working in a dental lab was very informing. I was able to witness a side of dentistry that most don't get the pleasure of seeing. I was tasked with scanning stone models in to digital form to be analyzed. I also greenstated Zirconia crowns in between the mill and sintering. In my free time there, I began learning tooth anatomy by practicing waxing.
Working at ACC was yet another outdoor, labor-intensive job. Starting at daybreak, the grounds crew would strike out to cut greens, teeboxes, and fairways to get the course ready for the day. I learned to work under strict orders and as a team with other employees. I was tasked with the walk-behind mower seen in the first photo. The second photo depicts the preciseness required to maintain straight lines on the green.
