Personal Statement 2022
My personal statement was very important in the process of becoming a dentist. While I did not know much at the time of writing it, now I enjoy reflecting back on this essay to see how far I've come. The letter also will sometimes be humbling, reminding me of why I came to dental school.
My aspirations and career path have slightly evolved over the past few years, but my core competencies of wanting to help people in my small community are still going strong.
Speaking at the GDA House of Delegates Meeting
Working with GDA Membership Staff
With the Georgia Dental Association, my job is to connect them with students. It is so valuable for recent graduates and dentists in all stages to be connected to this organization. It unites you with a network of like-minded peers, offers resources in times of need, and supports the industry through legislative efforts.
Two other classmates and I put our heads together to start the Dental Entrepreneurship Alliance at DCG. The goal of our organization is to get interested dental students confident in their ability to start their own practice. We bring in outside speakers from all over the industry: private practice owners, financial managers, accountants, lawyers, marketing groups, sales brokers, and more. We are focused on private practice and helping our classmates achieve their goals
If you are reading this, you probably have heard of the Career Launch. I had the idea and worked with GDA creating the program. I am so excited to see it come to fruition. I'm hoping to help my classmates, future students, and dentists across Georgia make meaningful connections that lead to jobs or new young owners! Insturctions sent to my class are added below.
