If your phone or tablet is misbehaving, it's possible that a third-party app is causing the issue. To figure out what app is acting funny, you can use the Safe mode feature. In Safe mode, your device won't run any third-party apps. This allows you to easily identify and remove the app that may be causing the problem.

To exit Safe mode, simply restart your phone or tablet and it will reboot normally. Or, you can tap the Safe mode notification; swipe down from the top of the screen, and then tap the Safe mode is on notification. Tap Turn off.

I dropped off my phone for a screen repair and enabled the new maintenance mode before I left it. The techs contacted me saying that they aren't able to start any repairs at all as they're not able to access the developer options and still said they need my PIN in order to start and finish the repairs. This has me very frustrated, what's the point of the mode if they're going to immediately need it disabled? And is that even a thing, do they have to have developer options enabled? I dropped it off at an Asurion site, so it's Samsung approved and everything...

Safe mode lets you run your Android device using its basic interface, with simplified menus and without most third-party applications. You can think of it as a diagnostic tool to help identify and fix problems on your device.

Use your phone normally to see if the issue you were experiencing has been resolved while your phone is in Safe mode. If the problem has gone away, the likelihood is that it is an app that is causing the problem. Remove recently downloaded apps one by one until the problem is fixed.

If the problem persists when your device is running in Safe mode, it is unlikely that the problem is related to an app.

Safe mode is a diagnostic tool available on Samsung phone or tablet that force the device to run on the basic operating system, and disable most 3rd party applications to solve issues related to battery life, connectivity and much more.

Maintenance Mode was successfully trialed on the Galaxy S21 series in Korea in July and then launched in China in September 2022. It launches globally today, gradually rolling out over the next few months on select models running One UI 5. The rollout will continue throughout 2023, with availability expanding to more Galaxy devices. Stay tuned for more information on local availability.

1 Availability may vary by market and model. Maintenance Mode is available on selected Samsung Galaxy devices running One UI 5 or later versions, including Galaxy S21 and S22 series. Timing of availability may vary by market, model and network provider.

2 As a precautionary measure, users are encouraged to back up any personal data before activating Maintenance Mode.

The last firmware up the entire feature. Even if you have zero things connected to the box, ART Mode will revert to the TV on its own and blast a channel. You then put it back to art mode manually only for it to revert to TV on its own again and again and again. You can either keep the thing turned off, or have it on art mode 24/7 without it switching to slide show or sleep. Once it sleeps it will eventually switch to TV Mode on its own! I wish I can roll it back to the working firmware. I tried deleting the Samsung TV Plus and it still switches to that on its own.

Same on mine after the last update. Art mode will just stop and try to switch to HDMI 1 where the ATV is. If the ATV is sleeping it won't wake it and you get the screen on Samsung to check power on HDMI 1 or connect help. If you leave ATV on and not sleep, Art Mode will randomly stop and switch to HDMI1 or whatever Samsung TV defaults to. ART Mode just keeps stopping on its own!

Unfortunately or fortunately this time exiting safe mode resulted in proper normal screen, not the messed up version I got the first time. The only thing that did happen is airplane mode was turned on after restart. Something that did happen every time. So after safe mode you need to check that airplane mode is not active.

Eventually customer support got back in touch with me and told me to factory reset my TV to get it out of developer mode. This would mean completely erasing all apps and settings whenever my development computer changes IP address. That would be ridiculous even for a purely development device, let alone an appliance I and my family use daily.

Believe it or not this comes up a lot reboot your TV just like when you set developer mode. Generally it is to hold down the power key on the remote until it shuts off fully or says rebooting. But I think you can unplug it and waiting 5 minutes as well.

Ok, so I was able to solve it. What I did was to power off the Smart TV, unplug it from the electricity, leave it like that for 5 - 10 mins, plug it, turn it on, go to apps (the developer mode still show up), press again 1 2 3 4 5 and boom, the menu shows up again. From that menu I could deactivate developer mode or change the IP associated with it

I tried this and the screen turns off for about 1 second, and when i hold the menu button while its off it turns back on the same way it does if i just press the down arrow, and when i comes back on a few seconds later it says store mode. the up arrow shows me brightness, and when i try this with the up arrow it just gets rid of the brightness adjusting thing.

will it work if i don't have anything connected, of a dvi connected? im assuming not because i tried and it didn't work, when i do this i only get setup & reset, then i can either select pc/av or pc, i tried both and both don't work. I don't get a store mode or home mode, im not sure im my monitor is not what i think it is, or if its like a fake or what because Ive tried a bunch of things that should work but don't

I've recently turned on sleep mode so that I don't keep getting notifications throughout the night. However, now I've run into a new issue I can't work out how to fix. Last night I went to sleep earlier than the start of my sleep mode routine turning on and, when 11pm hit, there was an alarm that went off (like the usual wake up alarm) signaling the start of sleep mode. This is obviously counterproductive to wanting to stay asleep once asleep so how to turn off any alarm or notification sound for the start of sleep mode?

Unsure if the advice they gave was in any way correct, but the way to get to what they suggested on an S23 should be: Settings > Apps > 3 dots on the top right > Special access > Do not disturb permission > Select the app that controls your sleep mode (likely "Clock" or "Digital wellbeing") > Turn off the toggle switch.

Go to settings > modes and routines > and the ... menu in upper right. Pick settings from that menu (you should see history and settings). Pick notifications and either turn them off or make them silent. Good luck.

My website is designed in light mode and not supposed to react to any form of dark mode. This works on all websites, except for Samsung Internet. Whenever I open the website on Samsung Internet, it automatically swaps out the white background for a dark one, and changes the letter colors to white. Does anyone know how to fix this?

To use wireless DeX, first go into screen mirroring mode on your TV or monitor. Then, on your phone or tablet, pull down the Quick Settings and tap DeX. Now select the TV or monitor you want to cast to.

I recently bought a Samsung 840 EVO 500 gb solid state drive for my laptop. There's a feature (disabled by default) called RAPID (Real Time Acceleration Processing of I/O Data) Mode. From what I can tell, this mode will use more memory/RAM to facilitate better/faster read/write speeds. A white paper on this feature can be found here.

RAPID mode is paired exclusively with Samsung 840EVO SSDs and available as a feature of the accompanying Samsung SSDMagician Software Toolset (version 4.2 and later). When enabled, RAPIDmode is inserted as a filter driver in the Windows storage stack. Thedriver actively monitors all storage-related activity between andamong the operating system, user applications and the SSD. The RAPIDtechnology analyzes system traffic and leverages spare systemresources (DRAM and CPU) to deliver read acceleration throughintelligent caching of hot data and write optimization through tightcoordination with the SSD.

RAPID mode gives fantastically high results for benchmarks, where the testsoftware just basically writes out data that it rereads later on.If the RAM cache is large enough, the test will only measure the RAM speed, rather than the disk speed.

Another massive jump, with Sequential Read and at 3602 MB/s and 2380 MB/s, respectively (up from 520MB/s Read and 500MB/s Write in stock mode. And look at the overall score increase, from 1091 jumping up to 36568. Wow.

I had issues with the Samsung magician "Rapid Mode" on, i was not able to play any of the counter strike games. They started and after a few seconds they would froze. After turning off the rapid mode, all was good.

While I used and appreciated Rapid Mode in the past, I personally no longer use it because a very affordable upgrade to a current generation SSD makes it irrelevant. New SSDs, especially on faster interfaces that support NVME are more than 10x as fast natively than the older drives that support Rapid mode.

Working with large projects in Visual Studio all day, I have seen a noticeable improvement in build times and application launch times. Every second saved here contributes to my bottom line output and ability to remain focused between transitions. When build and run times increase even by a few seconds, it increases my odds of getting derailed with some distraction and loosing my flow. RAPID mode has made a noticeable difference and keeps Visual studio much more responsive. 17dc91bb1f
