This Project I had to find articles relating to cybersecurity and share examples of them. I also got cyber training and earned a certificate and use that knowledge to help dissect these articles.

This article has a cybersecurity attack of identity theft. There was one woman who worked in teleperformance call center for USAA customers, who then had access USAA customers bank accounts. millions of veterans and families was affected and their information was sold which was then used to defraud the account holders out of millions. There are multiple sign in varification steps someone can take for their account but there is not much that could've been done since the woman already had network access to that information. doing check ups on employees is one way to start to prevent something like this from happening again.

Having a country declare a state of emergency from ransomware attacks is called for them to be in jail. This ransomware attack was originated from Russia but of course they would deny it. The countries leaked files was not too major, but the PEOPLE was affected the most and told what to do to extort teh government and run away. The countries cyber security needs to be updated and monitored almost every day so an attack like this where $20 million can never be discussed.
