Mission
Objectives:
Section 1. To represent all marine educators in the southern states of Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, and western Florida, and promote within the teaching group the highest type of professional practices; to encourage active participation of all marine, aquatic and science educators in the solution of science problems; to promote education; and to arouse allegiance to a genuine spirit of professional ethics and cooperation.
Section 2. To encourage the introduction of marine and aquatic topics in new and existing curricula; to offer colleagues a vehicle to obtain information and training; provide an information network for members.
Section 3. To encourage participation and membership in the National Marine Educators Association (NMEA), and attendance at the national conference.
