SAMESIDE (“SAMESIDE,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, and shared when you use the SAMESIDE mobile application and related services.
When you use SAMESIDE, we may collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, profile information, favorite teams, community selections, posts, comments, direct messages, and other content you choose to provide.
We may also collect technical and device information necessary to operate the service, including device identifiers, push-notification tokens, IP address, authentication information, and information related to your interaction with the app.
Location is a core part of SAMESIDE.
With your device's permission, SAMESIDE may process your precise location to determine your geographic area, place you in the appropriate local fan community, help you discover nearby fans, and provide location-based features.
Location information may be processed using Apple or Google operating-system geocoding services. SAMESIDE may also send latitude and longitude coordinates rounded to four decimal places to the U.S. Federal Communications Commission's geographic service to determine county information.
You can control location permissions through your device settings. Some SAMESIDE features may not function properly without location access.
We use information to operate and improve SAMESIDE, including to create and manage accounts, authenticate users, assign users to appropriate fan communities, provide Nearby features, enable posts and messaging, send notifications, operate game-day experiences, maintain security, and support users.
SAMESIDE uses third-party services when necessary to provide certain app functionality.
These may include:
Google Firebase / Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM): Push-notification tokens, delivery and registration metadata, and Firebase installation identifiers. Analytics and advertising are disabled.
Google Maps SDK: Map-related traffic and IP address when the Nearby feature is used.
Google Sign-In: OAuth authentication information, including an ID token.
Sign in with Apple: Authentication information, including an identity token and, when provided during initial authorization, name and email.
Apple/Google operating-system geocoding services: Precise latitude and longitude may be processed for reverse geocoding.
U.S. FCC geographic service: Latitude and longitude rounded to four decimal places may be used to determine county information.
These disclosures reflect the third-party recipients identified in SAMESIDE's current data-sharing documentation.
We do not use third-party advertising SDKs or sell personal information for advertising purposes.
SAMESIDE allows users to create posts, comments, profile content, and direct messages.
Posts and other content intended for community areas may be visible to other SAMESIDE users according to the features of the service.
Passwords, direct messages, posts, and authentication tokens are not shared with third parties as described in SAMESIDE's current app architecture documentation.
SAMESIDE may send push notifications about activity within the app, including community interactions, messages, and game-related activity.
You can control push-notification permissions through your device settings.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.
However, no internet-based service or electronic storage system can guarantee absolute security.
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide SAMESIDE, maintain security, comply with applicable legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
Information may be deleted or anonymized when it is no longer reasonably necessary for these purposes.
You may request deletion of your SAMESIDE account and associated personal information through the account-deletion options provided by SAMESIDE.
Certain information may be retained when required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or other legitimate purposes permitted by law.
SAMESIDE is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy as SAMESIDE evolves. When we make changes, we may update the effective date displayed at the top of this policy.
