Effective date: August 12, 2026
SameFrame Progress Studio, referred to in this policy as “SameFrame,” is developed by Aaron Ross Jacobsen.
This policy explains how SameFrame handles information when you use the application.
SameFrame is designed to keep your projects private and under your control.
SameFrame does not require an account.
Project content is stored locally on your device by default.
SameFrame does not operate an advertising service.
SameFrame does not include third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.
Your photos are not uploaded to the developer.
Sharing and backup occur only when you choose to use those features.
Optional cloud backups are stored in your own private cloud-storage account.
SameFrame may store the following information locally:
Photos and photo metadata
Project names and categories
Notes and journal entries
Measurements and project statistics
Checklists and action items
Attachments and receipts
Viewpoint and camera-reference settings
Appearance, reminder, privacy, and other app preferences
SameFrame Pro entitlement status
This information is used to provide the app’s features. It is not automatically transmitted to the developer.
SameFrame may request access to your camera and photo or media library so you can:
Capture project photos
Import existing photos
Align new photos with previous photos
Create before-and-after comparisons
Edit or annotate photos
Save completed exports
Share selected content
SameFrame does not upload these photos to the developer.
Depending on your operating system, you may be able to grant access only to selected photos.
SameFrame uses your device’s standard sharing system when you choose to share an export.
You select the destination and content. SameFrame does not automatically post to social media or transmit a project without your action.
Once you share content with another app, website, person, or service, that recipient handles the content under its own terms and privacy policy.
Projects are stored locally by default.
On supported Apple devices, SameFrame Pro can save optional project backups to your private iCloud Drive. These backups are handled by Apple’s iCloud service and associated with your Apple Account. The developer does not receive or have access to your private iCloud Drive backups.
SameFrame can also create portable .sameframe backup files. These files remain wherever you choose to save them until you move or delete them.
If an Android edition or another cloud-backup option is introduced, this policy will be updated before release to explain the applicable service and data handling.
SameFrame Pro is offered as a store-managed in-app purchase.
Purchases are processed by the store from which you obtained the app, currently Apple’s App Store. SameFrame receives product and transaction status needed to unlock or restore purchased features. The developer does not receive your complete payment-card details.
If an Android edition is released, purchases for that edition may be processed by Google Play under Google’s applicable terms and privacy policy.
Depending on the device and features you use, SameFrame may request access to:
Camera
Photos or media library
Notifications
Device motion or orientation
Face ID, biometrics, or device authentication
Files or user-selected storage locations
These permissions are used only to provide the feature associated with the request.
Camera motion information is used while the camera is open to provide level guidance. It is not used to track your location.
When App Lock is enabled, authentication is performed by the operating system. SameFrame receives only the result needed to unlock the app and does not receive your fingerprint, facial scan, or other biometric template.
You can review or change permissions in your device’s system settings.
SameFrame can schedule optional project reminders.
These reminders are scheduled using the device’s notification system. SameFrame does not use reminders to create an advertising profile or track activity across other apps.
SameFrame does not automatically send diagnostic reports to the developer.
The Help & Support screen can create a limited diagnostic summary when you choose to copy or share it. This summary excludes project names, notes, photos, and purchase details.
If you contact support, the developer may receive your email address, message, and any information you voluntarily attach. This information is used to respond to your request and maintain appropriate support records. Do not send private photos unless they are necessary and you intentionally choose to include them.
You may request deletion of a support conversation by emailing arjacapps@gmail.com, subject to records that may need to be retained for legal or security reasons.
Project content remains on your device until you delete it or remove the app, subject to the device operating system’s storage and backup behavior.
Items placed in Recently Deleted may remain available for recovery for up to 30 days unless you permanently delete them sooner.
Removing SameFrame deletes its local data according to the operating system’s behavior. Portable or cloud backups remain wherever you saved them until you delete them separately.
Because SameFrame does not maintain a developer-operated user account or project database, there is generally no remote SameFrame account or project data for the developer to delete.
SameFrame is a general-audience productivity and photography tool. The app does not require an account and does not knowingly collect personal information from children through developer-operated servers.
Parents and guardians should supervise a child’s use of the camera, sharing features, and any photographs containing personal information.
SameFrame uses operating-system storage, permissions, authentication, and store services to help protect information. Optional App Lock can add device authentication before the app opens.
No storage method can guarantee absolute security. Users should protect their devices, cloud accounts, and exported backup files with appropriate passwords and security settings.
Features may rely on services supplied by your device platform, including:
Apple App Store
Apple iCloud Drive
Apple system sharing and notification services
Google Play or Android platform services if an Android edition is released
Those services are operated under their own privacy policies and terms. SameFrame does not control how a destination selected through the system sharing menu handles exported content.
SameFrame may be available in multiple countries or regions. Project data remains under the control of the device, cloud provider, store provider, or sharing destination selected by the user.
This policy may be updated when SameFrame’s features, supported platforms, or legal requirements change.
Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date on this page. The current version will remain available at SameFrame’s public privacy-policy URL.
