Mehdi will be giving a talk titled "Intralesional Printing of Drug-eluting Microneedles for the Treatment of Wounds" at the Biomaterials and Biofabrication Conference, taking place from Wednesday, May 13th to Friday, May 15th, at the École de Technologie Supérieure, Montreal, Canada.

Mehdi is giving a talk on the application of microneedle-based drug delivery for wound healing applications at the Wound Healing Society (WHS) Annual Meeting 2026 in Charlotte, NC.

Mehdi will be giving a talk titled "In Situ Printing-Enabled Fixation for Personalized Bone Defect Treatment" at the Society for Biomaterials 2026 Annual Meeting & Exposition, taking place from March 25-28, at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta, Atlanta, GA.

Samandari Lab is relocating to the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Old Dominion University, an R1-designated research institution. The lab will continue its cutting-edge translational work in biomedical engineering, contributing to ODU’s growing research portfolio. Learn more about ODU and the MAE department. 

Samandari Lab received a 3-year trailblazer grant from NIBIB to treat infected wounds using a novel drug delivery strategy. 

As an organizer and scientific committee member, Mehdi will be giving a talk titled "Tailoring Scaffold Porosity for Controlling Cellular Behavior in Regenerative Medicine" at the Biomaterials and Biofabrication Conference, taking place from Wednesday, May 28th to Friday, May 30th, at the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford.
