SCIENTIA

Scientia is a Inter-Collegiate Technical Fest conducted by Science Association, Malnad College of Engineering, Hassan. This is a major event in the College where students from all over the state come to participate. The main aim of Scientia is to enhance the significance of technology in the near future and to inspire young minds to contribute towards the field of Science and Technology. It has some spectacular events that flashes light on exciting and mind blowing aspects of everyday science. Our main agenda is to ignite student curiosity and inspire young educators to re-imagine learning.

SPECTRA

Spectra is a huge part of Scientia. The main objective of this technical exhibition is to showcase the projects of brilliant minds under one common arena. These spectacular evenings incorporate the exhibits listed:

SKY WATCH

The night sky on any clear night offers an ever changing display of fascinating objects, from stars and constellations to bright planets, the moon and even special events like meteor showers. This event is mainly organized to provide an opportunity to the students in and out of the city to stargaze at the celestial wonders.

SPEC TALK

The Speaker talk is yet another salient part of SCIENTIA. Every year a well known speaker is invited to share the secret of his success and inspire the young charming minds to realize their dreams. Every year, a huge crowd gathers to witness the influential personality. It is an effort made for the youth to realize their dreams and goals and to work towards it in making it a reality. Mr. Varun Agarwal, an Indian first generation entrepreneur, film maker and author was invited last year for Spec Talk

ONLINE TREASURE HUNT (OTH)

OTH is one of the main attractions of Scientia. Students from various colleges gather and try their best to seek the treasure. Treasure trails are a variation on the theme of a treasure hunt in which participants follow a set of directions and discover clues that helps to solve a puzzle en route.

SCIENCE EXPO

Science Expo is a state level competition for school students. Students from all over the state participate in this unique event showcasing their science models and vision about science which contributes to the fresh future of the world.

INTER BRANCH EVENTS

MEGAMIND

Megamind is an event entirely related to testing one’s observation skills and brain-body co-ordination. Brain teasers, riddles and puzzles in the form of audios and videos are used to inculcate the habit of cognition in the students.

SCIKICK

Science and technology are indispensable tools for individual's development. Sci-kick is a completely science oriented event where the students have to think critically about the occurrence of scientific phenomena in their daily lives . It aims to fuel scientific curiosity among young minds and make them aware of the importance of scientific knowledge in everyday life.

NUMERACY

This event is organized to improve one’s problem solving techniques by providing a wide variety of challenging math activities. It helps to increase students’ interests in mathematics and encourage them to value intellectual pursuits.

EEE (EXPLORE EXTRACT EXTRAPOLATE)

This is an event taking into account, the different domains in engineering. EEE concentrates on testing the mastery over their respective sector.

SPEAK FOR SCIENCE

A mind thrilling event which is a perfect platform to percieve the brain-body co-ordination and to enhance them where a participants are given science related topic where they have to speak for.

MANAGEMENT

This is an event to test the students’ organizing and conducting skills. It mainly involves influencing, manipulating and managing the situations/scenarios.

UNVEIL

This event comprises of a collection of riddles, brain teasers, games and puzzles. These are the puzzles that require one's intellect and a dab of creativity.

GEST PLAY

Game tournaments sell out large arenas, similarly Gesture Play is the first virtual gaming arena organized in the campus. It focuses on guided hand gestures to control the game.

SCI - REELS is an exciting gathering of passionate students, researchers, and explorers dedicated to pushing the boundaries of knowledge and discovery by making, mind blowing reels.

SCI-FI STORY

A SCI - FI Story is a narrative set in a future or alternate reality where scientific and technological advancements play a central role. they blend scientific concepts with creative storytelling to captivating adventures that push the boundaries of our imagination.
