I worked in computer technology for more than 40 years and have been involved in web development since the early days of the internet. At Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, I helped build the organization’s first web presence and later worked on a variety of patient-facing technologies, including the patient portal, mobile applications, and patient reporting systems.
Now that I’m retired, I continue to enjoy working on web development, technology, and digital media projects for organizations and groups I’m involved with. I've built a number of websites and applications (including a number of my own smart phone magic effects.
I build and maintain this Toastmasters website using the Free Toast Host content management platform:

I have also developed several supporting websites designed to advertise open house events and help new members better understand the Toastmasters educational program:
Additional enhancements I created for the Toastmasters site include:

I have also documented many of the AI projects and tools I’ve developed in a blog that I am currently transitioning from Tumblr to Substack:
This year, I was invited to present to the Toastmasters District 53 leadership team on how I incorporate AI tools into marketing and promoting our local club.
In April, I also served as one of the educational presenters at the District 53 Conference, where I conducted a one-hour session on effective club marketing strategies, with a strong focus on using AI tools to simplify and enhance the work of club public relations officers. In order to be considered as a speaker at the event I needed to submit a 5 min video describing what I would be presenting. The proposal video and the final slide deck are included here.
The Southern Dutchess Toastmasters Instagram page showcases many of the promotional graphics and advertisements I’ve created for social media and email campaigns.
In recent years, much of this work has incorporated AI-assisted image generation based on my prompts and iterative design refinements.
In my role as Vice President of Public Relations for Southern Dutchess Toastmasters for the past 11 years, I have created numerous promotional videos and digital marketing materials.
Earlier projects were created manually using traditional graphics and video-editing tools. More recently, I have incorporated modern AI-assisted tools such as Google Vids to streamline production, generate voiceovers, and improve presentation quality.
These tools make it possible to create polished promotional content quickly and efficiently.
These projects were primarily created using standard graphic tools and traditional video editing. Most of the scripts were written by me.
